The Sanskrit root word "Yuj," which means "to yoke" or "to bind," is the source of the term "yoga." The word has a wide range of meanings, from marriage to an astrological conjunction, but its fundamental idea is connection. In ancient India, it began as a method of enhancing the link between the mind and body and fostering spiritual development. Although the scientific study into yoga's advantages is still in its early stages, the majority of the evidence points to what practitioners have long seemed to have understood: Yoga can improve our general well-being. The majority of Westerners practice yoga now to relieve stress or get physical activity. The purpose of the International Day of Yoga, which takes place on June 21, is to promote the yoga's advantages for the wider community. Yoga is a wonderful gift to mankind that aids in promoting and sustaining good health. Over the past few decades, yoga has been studied for its therapeutic potential in treating modern epidemic conditions including obesity, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and psychological stress.Published
