Mental health and well-being are increasingly recognized as essential components of overall health, particularly among children and adolescents. Mental health challenges during early life stages can have lasting effects on emotional development, academic performance, and social functioning. Globally, rising rates of mental health disorders have been intensified by factors such as urbanization, digital dependency, and the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the urgent need for preventive and supportive strategies. This article examines mental health and well-being in children through a lifespan perspective, emphasizing the role of families, schools, and communities in fostering psychological resilience. Evidence indicates that supportive parenting, positive school environments, and collaborative care systems significantly influence children’s mental health outcomes. The paper also explores preventive approaches, including mental health education, early identification and support initiatives, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and the development of effective coping skills. By integrating mental health awareness, early support mechanisms, and lifestyle-based interventions across educational, healthcare, and community settings, a comprehensive framework can be established to reduce mental health risks and promote long-term well-being. Strengthening these preventive strategies is essential for building resilient individuals and healthier societies.Published
