Education related to environmental sustainability and climate action can set out as a cornerstone in negotiating the increasing challenges which are associated with environment and climate crisis faced among different societies around worldwide. With this, learners are able to procure knowledge, expand expertise and understand the benefits of environmental sustainability. Furthermore, it helps the learners to understand the complex issues of environment in better manner. It also aids in active participation in several practices which are related to sustainable development and climate-resilience. This chapter also shed light on introducing the learning on sustainability and climate action into education system which can facilitate cross-disciplinary learning, elucidative thinking, and develop problem-solving ability. In this chapter, we have discussed that strengthening education for sustainability requires curriculum reform, teacher capacity building, experiential and community-based learning, supportive policy frameworks, and the adoption of sustainable institutional practices. By fostering environmental awareness and responsible behaviour, education emerges as a powerful tool for empowering learners as change agents and for advancing global sustainability and climate goals.Published
