Abstract

Culture is a dynamic system of shared beliefs, practices, and meanings that evolves alongside technological and social change. In the digital age, emerging technologies such as the internet, artificial intelligence, and social media have significantly transformed how culture is created, preserved, and communicated. Digitalization has enabled new forms of cultural preservation through digital archives, virtual museums, and the documentation of languages and intangible heritage. At the same time, social media platforms foster cultural expression, storytelling, and community building, particularly among younger generations. Technological innovations such as virtual and augmented reality further enhance cultural experiences by providing immersive access to heritage and artistic traditions. However, the digital cultural landscape also presents challenges, including cultural homogenization, the digital divide, data ownership concerns, and misinformation. Addressing these issues requires inclusive digital policies and ethical governance to ensure that technological progress supports cultural diversity, sustainability, and equitable access to knowledge in an increasingly interconnected world.
