This chapter explores the relationship between Indigenous education and Digital Learning Environments (DLEs), looking at how technological innovation interacts with educational systems that are rooted in culture. Although the accessibility, flexibility, and interconnection of digital platforms have revolutionised global education, their incorporation into Indigenous contexts necessitates a careful evaluation of historical, cultural, and epistemological aspects. Indigenous educational systems are built on relational, holistic, land-based, and language-centred pedagogies and precede colonial schooling models. It also emphasises how crucial it is to incorporate embodied and holistic approaches—such as those that take accessibility and health into account—into digital educational frameworks.Published
