Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technologies has transformed educational practices across disciplines, including classical language studies such as Sanskrit. E-learning platforms provide unprecedented access to educational resources, yet Indigenous learners and students from traditional Sanskrit-learning communities face unique opportunities and challenges in digital environments. This article examines the implications of e-learning for Sanskrit students, particularly those from Gurukula systems, rural backgrounds, and culturally rooted Indigenous communities. It explores technological access, linguistic diversity, pedagogical adaptation, cultural continuity, and digital preservation of traditional knowledge. The study concludes with policy recommendations and future directions for inclusive and culturally responsive digital Sanskrit education.
