Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technology has transformed educational practices across the world. Sanskrit education, traditionally associated with the gurukula system and text-based pedagogy, is also experiencing significant change due to the integration of modern digital tools. Technology-enhanced learning offers new opportunities for making Sanskrit education more interactive, inclusive, and learner-centered. However, the use of technology must be guided by human-centric pedagogical principles that prioritize the intellectual, emotional, and ethical development of learners. This chapter explores the integration of digital tools in Sanskrit education within a human-centered pedagogical framework. It examines how technology can support meaningful engagement with classical texts, promote collaborative learning, and encourage critical thinking while preserving the cultural and philosophical depth of Sanskrit traditions.
