Abstract

Human-centred physiotherapy education focuses on delivering individualized, function-oriented rehabilitation by considering the physical, psychological, and social aspects influencing patient health. This approach helps students to move beyond standardized treatment methods and develop essential skills such as critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and creativity. Through learner-centred strategies like case-based learning, simulation, and reflective practice, students learn to assess patients comprehensively, interpret findings, and design tailored intervention plans. In clinical practice, this model emphasizes patient involvement in goal setting, personalized treatment approaches, and continuous reassessment based on progress and feedback. It also highlights the importance of patient education and self-management to improve the adherence and long-term outcomes. By encouraging flexibility and innovation in treatment planning, it enables physiotherapists to effectively manage complex and diverse clinical conditions. Overall, human-centred physiotherapy education contributes to improved functional outcomes, enhanced patient satisfaction, and the development of skilled, adaptable, and empathetic clinicians.
