This chapter explores the role of mindfulness in enhancing well-being within physiotherapy education and clinical practice. It highlights the increasing psychological and professional challenges faced by physiotherapy students and practitioners, including stress, burnout, and emotional fatigue, which can adversely affect patient care. Mindfulness, defined as present-moment, non-judgmental awareness, is presented as a scientifically grounded approach that fosters attention regulation, emotional resilience, and self-awareness. The chapter discusses key theoretical models, neurobiological mechanisms, and evidence-based interventions such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). It further examines the integration of mindfulness into education and clinical settings to improve therapeutic relationships, pain management, and movement awareness. Despite barriers such as limited curricular time and skepticism, mindfulness is positioned as a transformative tool for promoting holistic, patient-centered care and improving both practitioner well-being and clinical outcomes.Published
