Abstract

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) education is an interdisciplinary approach that aims to provide students the critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities they will need in the twenty-first century. The incorporation of digital tools and platforms has drastically changed STEAM education due to the quick development of digital technology. STEAM education is a teaching approach that gives pupils the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a global economy that is always changing. Despite major efforts to enhance STEAM education, instructors still face substantial obstacles when trying to find effective teaching strategies. This chapter examines how digital transformation might improve STEAM education's teaching-learning procedures. It emphasizes the transition from traditional STEM to STEAM, with a focus on how the arts promote creativity and design thinking. The significance of digital technologies in fostering student engagement, individualized learning, and experimental understanding—such as virtual laboratories, simulation software, 3D modeling, and adaptive learning systems—is further explored in this chapter. All things taken into account the chapter offers a comprehensive overview of how digital technologies may promote STEAM education that is sustainable, student-centered, and prepared for the future.
