Abstract

In order to maximize patient results, Evidence-Based Physiotherapy (EBP) is a methodical strategy that incorporates the best available research data, clinical knowledge, and patient values. EBP is essential to improving clinical decision-making, increasing treatment efficacy, and guaranteeing high-quality patient-centered care in modern physiotherapy education and practice. The application of scientific evidence in clinical settings, research literacy, and the development of critical appraisal abilities are becoming more and more important in physiotherapy education. Future physiotherapists are more equipped to assess research findings, implement successful interventions, and address changing healthcare issues when EBP is integrated into academic curriculum. Evidence-based practices in clinical practiceled to better patient outcomes, professional responsibility, and effective use of medical resources. Despite its acknowledged advantages, implementation may be hampered by obstacles like poor training, time restrictions, and restricted access to research. This chapter examines the fundamentals, importance, uses, difficulties, and potential future paths of evidence-based physiotherapy practice and education, emphasizing its critical role in improving the calibre and efficacy of physiotherapy services.
