Clinical reasoning and decision-making constitute the intellectual foundation of contemporary physiotherapy practice, enabling clinicians to interpret patient presentations, formulate diagnostic hypotheses, and implement evidence-informed therapeutic interventions. Effective clinical reasoning in contemporary rehabilitation sciences requires the integration of professional knowledge, empirical data, and patient-centered values in addition to the mechanical execution of treatment procedures. Because musculoskeletal, neurological, and rehabilitative disorders are complicated, physiotherapists use both analytical and intuitive reasoning processes. Additionally, shared decision-making has become a crucial part of physiotherapy care, promoting cooperative therapeutic interactions and enhancing functional outcomes and treatment adherence. Even while evidence-based practice is becoming more and more important, there are still a number of obstacles that prevent it from being consistently used, especially in healthcare settings with limited resources. Evidence-informed clinical practice is frequently hampered by systemic limitations, poor evaluation skills, and restricted access to high-quality research. Therefore, institutional support, ongoing educational development, and reflective practice are necessary for the evolution of clinical reasoning in physiotherapy.
