The integration of technology into teacher education has emerged as a critical imperative in the 21st century, transforming how educators are prepared, supported, and empowered for digitally mediated classrooms. This conceptual chapter examines Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning (TETL) as a transformative framework for teacher professional development rather than a mere supplement to conventional pedagogy. Drawing on established models such as TPACK and SAMR, it traces the evolution of TETL from basic ICT applications to advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and adaptive learning platforms. The chapter highlights how TETL strengthens pre-service and in-service teacher education through enhanced content delivery, data-informed assessment, student engagement, and digital competence. It also explores Learning Management Systems, MOOCs, OER, AI-assisted lesson planning, simulations, and gamification as tools supporting microteaching, reflective practice, and personalized learning. Key challenges, including infrastructural inequities, digital literacy gaps, data privacy, algorithmic bias, and teacher autonomy, are critically discussed. Aligning technology integration with NEP 2020 and continuous professional development, the chapter advocates context-sensitive strategies that promote equity, inclusion, and innovation while ensuring technology enhances, rather than replaces, teachers’ pedagogical agency.Published
