Inclusive, equitable, and accessible teacher education has become a global priority in ensuring quality education for all learners in increasingly diverse and complex educational settings. Contemporary teacher preparation programmes are expected to equip future educators with the knowledge, skills, values, and professional dispositions required to address learner diversity, eliminate barriers to participation, and promote educational equity. This chapter explores the conceptual foundations of inclusive teacher education, emphasizing the interconnected principles of inclusion, accessibility, diversity, and social justice. It examines how curriculum innovation, learner-centred pedagogies, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), assistive technologies, and culturally responsive teaching contribute to preparing teachers for inclusive classrooms. The chapter further discusses the role of digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Open Educational Resources in enhancing accessibility and expanding learning opportunities for students with diverse educational needs. Particular attention is given to the development of inclusive professional competencies, reflective practice, intercultural competence, collaborative partnerships, and continuous professional development as essential components of teacher preparation.Published
