Abstract

The 21st century learning skills focus on novel and varied learner centered instruction, flexibility in learning and assessment in individualized form and content. The NEP 2020 prioritizes inclusive education, aiming to create a welcoming and equitable learning environment for all students, regardless of background or ability, by supporting diversity, training teachers and leveraging technology. NEP 2020 emphasizes the importance of training teachers to effectively address the diverse needs of students. It aims to create a teaching-learning environment that is welcoming and supports all learners, regardless of their learning styles, abilities or disabilities. The NEP 2020 emphasizes the five pillars of Access, Equity, Quality, and Affordability and Accountability to ensure equitable and high-quality education for all, promoting a fair and accountable educational system. In this context the role of teachers becomes highly imperative. When the existing diversity is understood by the teaching community a great revamp and social change is highly possible.
